EVENTS
At the Latin American Society, we believe in the power of a vibrant and active community. That's why we host a diverse range of events throughout the academic year, ensuring that there is always something for everyone. Our goal is to create an inclusive space where all students can connect, learn, and have fun. To achieve this, we plan to organise at least three events every month, offering a blend of academic, social, and cultural activities.
We pride ourselves on welcoming students from all backgrounds, as we believe that diversity is what makes our community at King’s College London truly unique and enriching. Whether you're looking to network, make new friends, or immerse yourself in Latin American culture, our events are open to you.
Our events are regularly advertised through our social media pages, including Instagram, and our WhatsApp group chat, so you’ll always be in the loop about what’s coming up. Be prepared to have a memorable time at our events.
Here are some examples of the exciting events we host:
Social Events: Picnics, Pub Crawls, Welcome Events & Icebreakers, Socials & Drinks Nights and Trivia Nights
Cultural Events: Dance Workshops (Tango, Salsa, Reggaeton, Bachata, and more), Día de los Muertos Celebration, Museum & Gallery Visits, Film Screenings, Latin American Cooking Classes (Desserts and more) and Latin American Restaurant Visits
Academic Events: Embassy Visits, Expert Panels, El Cortao (Networking and Discussion Sessions), NGO Presentations
… and much more!
Additionally, we are proud to collaborate with numerous other societies across KCL, further expanding our global network. This collaborative spirit allows us to offer even more enriching experiences and opportunities to our members.
