OUR MASCOT
José María
A BIT ABOUT HIM…
José María was born in 2022 and from the moment he arrived, he has become a crucial part of our society, bringing joy to all of our members.
José María embodies the spirit of Latin America: vibrant, cheerful, and full of life. He is a Mexican piñata in the shape of a donkey (or burro). Small but mischievous, he is always ready for a good time. His colours—sky blue, green, yellow, pink, and orange—are as lively and colourful as the culture he represents. Although he is made of cardboard, don’t let that fool you, José María is tough and never shies away from an adventure.
His diet is as sweet as his personality, consisting of delicious Latin American treats like Ganzitos, Bon o Bom, alfajores, and turrones. These treats fuel him for all the fun activities he participates in.
José María is really friendly and loves meeting new faces. His favourite moment of the year is greeting the freshers at the Welcome Fair, where he gets to interact with all the new members of the Society. Over the years, it has become a tradition to take him along to this annual event for photos, he just loves striking a pose, and so do we!
